Sports

The St Mary's physical education program focuses on equipping students with skills that allow them to participate in a healthy lifestyle. The students in Prep, Year 1 and Year 2 participate in a Perceptual-Motor Program. The students in the middle and upper years participate in activities and sports that allow them to develop their locomotor, ball control, throwing, tracking and trapping, kicking and striking skills. In particular, the middle years students are involved in cricket, hockey, rugby league, netball, and dance. The upper school students participate in sof-crosse, tennis, softball, basketball, rugby league and dance.

All students from Years 1 - 6 participate in the swimming, cross country and athletics programs. Prep students participate in the athletics carnival.

From the age of 10 students have the opportunity to be selected to represent the school in swimming and athletics and various team and individual sports
