Cross Country

What a hot morning we had to contend with for our cross country this year. All the children are to be applauded for the excellent manner in which they participated. There were some really terrific runs and tough battles between quite a number of age group competitors.

A huge big thank you is extended to Mr Douglas who kindly mowed the course before we started, making it perfect for running on. Thanks also to all the staff who helped prepare for the event before school and helping in the running of the day. Thank you to all the parents, grandparents and supporters who came to cheer the children on. It was lovely to see so many of you there in support.

The children who finished in the top four, born 2007-2009, have qualified to compete in the Beaudesert District Cross Country on Tuesday 2nd April at Emmaus. Notes were given to these children on Monday. This event is run after school, therefore parents will have to transport and supervise the children.

Gold, Silver and Bronze medallions will be awarded to the first three place getters in each age group at a whole school assembly this Friday 29th March at 2:15pm. The team with the highest total points from the two timed practice runs, plus the points from the carnival day, will be awarded the Gloria Watterson Shield also.
