Looking Back with Gratitude

It is incredible to believe that we are heading into April with our first Term nearly completed.

While we have a number of community events and times for reflection coming up before the end of Term, it is timely to look back over the weeks in gratitude of our time together so far. Some of the events scheduled for Friday 29th are Big Book Sale, at 2:15pm whole school assembly for the presentation of Cross Country Medals and Year 6 Leadership Certificates courtesy of Jon Krause, and the Stations of the Cross reflections led by our Year 6 students on Wednesday 3rd.

Our staff this year are using a prayer book based on gratitude, balance and happiness, and one of the readings reminds us that it is only with gratitude that life becomes rich – Dietrich Bonhoeffer. So, with this in mind, we list only a few of the things that we are grateful for this year. In this spirit, can I also encourage you to take a moment and let someone know that you are grateful for their part in your life.

So, in no particular order, and by no means an exhaustive list, we are grateful for,

  • Our new families and students to St Mary’s who are all contributing to our wonderful community:
  • Our amazing staff who everyday inspire future generations to lead hope filled lives of influence:
  • Our parish and parent community of leaders who together support the growth of our community:
  • Our students who grace our school every day and enrich our lives. We are proud and humbled to be part of your story.
